Settlement Method Indicator" and "Settlement Method

In the ISPG the Settlement Method is called “Settlement Method Indicator" and sometimes called "Settlement Method” I understand they are one of the same but i wondered if you could confirm.

Thanks

Dear Hayley,

Settlement Method Indicator (SMI) is merely the flag to trigger (ICH, ACH, bilateral, etc.) how the invoice will be settled. So yes, these two terms are interchangeable.

Best regards
