Duplicate IDEC files
Dear SIS,
It is well understood that the SIS will produce a weekly IDEC file, marked by MONTH+PERIOD.
Is it possible that during the initial period the SIS will be sending more than one IDEC file for the same MONTH+PERIOD?
If so, how should we prepare to handle such a situation?
Thank you,

Dear Michael,
As long as the settlement in the Clearing Houses is on a weekly basis, SIS will create the output (IS-WEB, IS-IDEC and IS-XML) on a weekly basis (per period/month).
SIS has also been designed to be able to go for daily settlement sometime in the future (when the industry decides to do so).
Please note that the billing carriers can send their billing files to SIS on a daily basis (optional), during the whole period. Also, in such a case, SIS will create the output at period end.
Please also see other forum posts on old IDEC and Old IDEC down-converted file (both monthly) during the migration time frame. Your system must be able to accept and process these as well.
Best regards
