Element 19 PAX - Rejection Memo Record

For Element 19 (FIM Coupon Number) of PAX - Rejection Memo Record, the IS-IDEC spec Format column states "01,02,03,04,09"

In the case of RM not for a FIM, can we popluate with "00"? Or is the expectation we populate with "09"?

Hi Konda,

Coupon Number ‘09’ is only used when billing/rejecting a FIM having no coupon number.

If you are not rejecting a FIM, then you do not need to raise a record in the IS-IDEC for element 19. Coupon numbers for non-FIM rejections can be raised at the RM Coupon brkdn Record (element 10) level.

Hope this clarifies.

Best regards,

Ashley

Hi

if we are raising a rejection memo for a Billing Memo/Credit Memo, we are required to populate Element 18 with the BM/CM number.  What I would like to know is in such a scenario, what value do we populate Element 19 with?  Can we popluate with "00"?  Will this pass validation?

Or is the expectation we populate with "09"? or blank fill?

In case of a rejection memo not for FIM/Billing Memo/Credit Memo, element 18 would be blank filled.  I am checking what is acceptable for element 19.

Hi Konda,

Element 19 can be populated with 00 in case of BMs where there are no coupon numbers. We will update the specs in the next release of the ISPG to make this explicit.

Best regards
