CARGO sandbox testing
Hi
1) When can airlines conduct sandbox testing for Cargo files?
2) When can we expect to receive sample Cargo files for inward billing testing?

Dear Shanti,
1. This date has not been finalised. However, we expect that Sandbox testing will be made available about 1 month prior to release of Cargo and UATP in April 2012.
2. This is scheduled for end of this year.
Best regards

Hi again Ashley
It's OK, I found the information I need on the SIS website under "Key Dates". So you don't need to reply to this post.

Hi Ashley
Can we expect sample Cargo files for inward billing testing any time soon? According to the SIS website (Key dates), the files will be released in Jan 2012.

Shanti

Hi Ashley
We downloaded the CARGO sample files from the SIS website.
With reference to the file generated by SIS for the billed member (CIDECT-11720111201.ZIP), we find that the fields "currency of listing" (columns 53-55) and "currency of billing" (columns 56-58) in the invoice header record (SFI 15), do not contain alpha currency codes but numeric ones instead.
On the other hand, the sample file generated by the billing member (CIDECF-0142011120120120201044300.zip), has both these files as alpha characters, as expected. In fact the two files are identical in all aspects except for these two fields. Hence we are conducting our inward billing tests using the CIDECF file.
But we would like to know if the appearance of numeric codes is a mistake or whether the live files will also contain numeric currency codes.
Regards

Hi Shanti, This was a correction that needed revising in the Cargo sample files. The changes have now been made and reflected in the zip documents downloadable from the SIS website. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
