Rejection reason code for FIM

Hi

Is it mandatory that FIM Rejections should have a reason code 5B/5C only or airline can choose any other reason codes like 1C if rejection on FIM relates to only ISC .

The RM reason code matrix in section 3.8.2 of the ISPG does not cover 5B/5C reason codes. Does it mean we have to use 5B/5C only for rejecting any element (Fare or ISC) of FIM billing.

Dear Shankar,

Essentially, you can use reason codes 5B/5C as well as 1C if it is ISC-related. The only difference is that with Reason Code 5C you will not need a coupon breakdown. So depending on what you agree with your billing partners, you may choose to use whichever of these Reason Codes as appropriate.

Best regards
