SC90 Reference Data

The ISPG pages 53-54 states Frequent Flyer Mileage Redemption information will be provided in the Reference Data fields listed – Reference #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5.  However the IS-IDEC PAX Cpn Data Record layout shows these fields (elements 65-69) as optional.  Shouldn’t they be Conditional – required if source code 90?

Hi Jo Ann,

In the ISPG v3.2, Section 3.10/Frequent Flyer Mileage Redemption Billings, you will find at the end of this section the validation checks for FF billings. Essentially, SIS does not validate the specific data provided in the Reference Data fields – this is why these fields are marked as optional. It is up to the billing partners to ensure that the right data is populated here in case of FF billings.

Kind regards,

Ashley
