Max File Size for Supports
When we create a zip file for Supporting Documents and submit via FTP, is there a maximum file size for the zipped document? |
 |
Hi Ian,
The maximum size for one single Supporting Document file is 25MB. Please also refer the ISPG v3.2 pg.187 for further details.
Best regards

Understood that 25MB is the max size of an individual support document, but what about the max size of the overall Zipped document? This is important for us too. Thanks, Russell (BD)

Hi Ashley,
ISPG 3.2: "The maximum size for a single Supporting attachment file is set to 25 MB. Files greater than this size will be considered as invalid by IS and will be deleted. The Billing Entity will, however, be charged for uploading the file as per the rates provided in the Airline Business Case document. "
I understand the ISPG in that section that one supporting document may be up to 25MB. The zip file which contains all supporting documents to an invoice or multiple invoices will be bigger. I think Ian was asking for the accepted size of the zip file.
Would you please explain to which file this maximum of 25MB applies?
Thanks
Claudia (LH)

Hi all,
This maximum size applies to all Supporting Documents files uploaded to SIS. So yes, if you zip all of your supporting docs in one file it still needs to be within the 25MB.

Hi,
The limitation of 25MB for ALL supporting documents is very cruel.
My, out of the box, scanner produces 2.5 MB JPG files for one scanned page.
It may be possible to reduce the resolution, but still this restriction limits the Supp Doc file to have only 10-20 scanned pages per one IDEC file.
1. Do you think that it will be possible to enlarge the limitation?
2. If not, do you have an idea what needs to be done?
Thank you,
Michael

Hi Michael, We understand your concern. However, we do have a minimum resolution guideline for scanned documents – please refer to the ISPG v3.2 Section 9.8. Typically grayscale or color scanned documents are significantly larger than black & white. With a minimum resolution (b&w) recommended for scanning documents in TIFF format of 200 DPI, the document size can be expected to be 60-100KB.
