Source codes to be used differ between IDEC and IS-IDEC

Source codes to be used differ between IDEC and IS-IDEC

Previous IDEC catered for Source Codes 01 – 99 while IS-IDEC similarly caters for source codes 01-99 but where the source code meanings are different.

For example, source code 04 in IDEC catered for all rejections but in IS-IDEC source code 04 is for stage 1 rejection, code 05 is for stage 2 rejection and code 06 is for stage 3 rejection.

Does this mean we always use the new SIS source codes for both IDEC and IS-IDEC or do we now have to use the different meaning codes (especially for rejections) based on which file format (IDEC or IS-IDEC) is being produced?

Dear Myungsuk,

You will need to use the old source codes if you are sending an old IDEC to ATPCO for prime transactions processed outside SIS. If you are sending transactions to SIS (IS-IDEC) then you will need to send the new source codes.

Hope that clarifies.

Regards,

Ashley
