Main Location of Billed Cargo Airline
Dear all,
referring to SIS-P3-CGO-IS-IDEC-Record-Structure, chapter 1.4.1 the main location code of an airline is mandatory. It is published in the respective member profile.
- Will this main location be used for billing if a billing carrier submits the airline code e.g. 131 for JAL in the IDEC file?
- And will this main location always pass the validation process in IS, meaning this could never be a reason for a rejection?
Thank you and regards, Gudrun (LCAG) |

But we urgently need your answer to our question in order to set up our system correctly.

Hello, hello is there anybody out there who will answer my mail :-)?
Once more the question:
What will happen, if we only submit the airline code e.g. 131 without any address information of the to be billed carrier in the IDEC file?
Will the main location data from the member profile be set automatically?
Will these data pass the validation process, which means that no rejection memo will be raised because of a possible wrong location code selection? I'm very thankful, if anybody answer my 4th request.
With best regards,
Gudrun

Dear Gudrun, If the location ID is not populated, SIS will automatically populate it with the Main location details. SIS will not reject the file if the location ID is not populated. However, please note that if you have agreed with your partners to bill to certain locations (other than the Main), they can still reject your invoice due to wrong location code.
