Sandbox Availability Clarification

Hi
I have read the SIS Sign up Guide and have a couple of questions.

1. Please clarify is the Sandbox testing by Stream?
2. Does the Sandbox disappear 2 weeks prior to Go live given the details mentioned in 3.3.3 and 6.3
3.3.3"After the 2 week review period, the Member Profile and User Profile Setup done on the Sandbox environment will be frozen. Access to IS-WEB on the Sandbox environement will CEASE TO EXIST"
6.3 " Phased in Approach" suggests an approach for phasing in P, M C and U, please clarify the availability of the Sandbox given the phased in approach release.

Hi Mari,

Please find the answers to your questions as follows:

1. Please clarify what you mean by 'stream' in this question.

2. The Sandbox environment is an offline testing environment without any IS-Web screens. As part of the move to operations phase, IS-Web will be made available to the participants to capture and update their Member Profile information. This information will then be transferred to the Production environment. Hence, two weeks before go-live, access to IS-Web will be removed. However, the Sandbox server will still be available for offline testing.

3. There is no termination date for Sandbox testing. This is available on an on-going basis to the industry for offline testing.

Hope this clarifies.
Best regards

Dear Mari,

Please find the answers to your questions as follows:

1. Sandbox Testing is the pre-requisite for Certification Testing. During Sandbox, you may send files through this environment and SIS will generate validation reports. Under Certification Testing, on the other hand, you will need to meet the Test Data Requirements detailed in the Sign-up & Certification Guide v1.0 Section 6.2 (p.25). The Test Data Requirements for certification are classified in different Billing Categories (i.e. Passenger, Miscellaneous).

2. Yes – Sandbox & Certification Testing will be available on an on-going basis.

3. Validation reports will be retrieved via iiNET.

Best regards

Hi Charissa,

Since Sep 30, there has been no more access to IS-Web in the Sandbox environment. Sandbox users can only submit files to the Sandbox server and receive validation/certification reports back from via iiNET. Please also see the September bulletin (issue 2) for more information.

Kind regards,

Ashley
