ET Buddy System

IATA has launched an ET Buddy System that provides member airlines without electronic ticketing up to 15 days of free consultation with experts from ET-enabled carriers or from an IATA staff consultant.

The ET Buddy system was set up in response to a request of the Board of Governors in May 2004 - see how IATA responded.

The ET Buddy System is administered by the ET Project Manager who is responsible for all pairing between airlines offering support or requiring support - Contact the ET Project Manager.

The ET Buddy system follows a process that is described in the ET Buddy Handbook. Each airline is asked to provide information about its own infrastructure to set the groundwork for discussion. The Mentor Airline shall provide a completed Mentor Airline Profile and the receiving Airline shall provide a completed Receiving Airline Profile.

The ET Buddy Partnership will only go live when a contract is signed between the two airlines and IATA. The IATA ET Project Manager will provide each participant with the appropriate contract.
