International Airline Training Fund (IATF)

Scholarship and training opportunities for IATA member airline staff in developing countries.

What is IATF?

IATF is a non-profit foundation that provides training support to airlines in developing nations to increase their competitiveness and meet industry challenges.

IATF is funded by donations from IATA members and other organizations involved in the air transport industry.

Who can benefit from IATF?

IATA members in developing nations can benefit from the IATF programs.  While training opportunities are offered in most areas of the airline business,  priority is given to any training aimed at enhancing the airline's operational safety.

For the Regional Training Program, priority is given to airlines that have identified skill gaps through a formal training needs assessment.

For the Collective Scholarship Program, priority is given to staff who:

  • have worked at least three years within the airline
  • show growth potential
  • are involved in knowledge transfer activities
