New Course Contest -Top identified aviation challenges in 2013

We asked, you answered. Now we’re sharing the results.

Over 2,500 aviation professionals around the world took part in our New Course contest identifying the most difficult challenges they expect to face in 2013. Congratulations to the winners!

Thank you to all who participated in our New Course Contest.

After receiving more than 2,500 entries, we’re happy to announce the six winners, each of whom will be awarded free admission to a brand new IATA course of their choice within their respective industry sector.


Airline winner:
Felix NYANGANI based in Harare, Zimbabwe is Lead Auditor Safety and Environment at Air Zimbabwe and Chairperson of the Africa Aviation Safety Council. Congratulations, Felix!


Airport winner:
José CHARRUA based in Lisbon, Portugal is an Engineer at ANA Aeroportos de Portugal AS. Congratulations, José!


CAA and ANS winner:
Bryan WILSON based in Nassau, Bahamas is Operations Officer at the Civil Aviation Department, Bahamas. Congratulations, Bryan!

 


Cargo and DGR winner:
Raphaël KALENGA based in Brussels, Belgium is a Structure Engineer. Congratulations, Raphaël!

 



Ground Operations winner:

Said HASSAN based in Zanzibar, Tanzania is Ramp Attendant at Aerotech Zanzibar Ltd. Congratulations, Said!



Travel and tourism winner:

Irshad Ahmed MULLA based in Doha, Qatar is Manager at E-zy Travels. Congratulations, Irshad!

New Courses and Diplomas in 2013

New Course Contest Details (contest closed – for reference only)

A total of six free admission seats (one per business sector) will be offered. Winners will be drawn at random on 6 March 2013 and will be announced on 12 March 2013.

By entering the contest, participants agree to:

  • complete the offered course by 30 June 2013;
  • a public announcement of the winners including publishing of photo, name and workplace on the IATA website, marketing collateral and social media spaces;
  • give a short interview about their experience in the course;
  • use of any testimonials they provide on the IATA website, marketing collateral, and social media spaces.
