ACC3 Readiness Workshop (Classroom, 3 days)

Prepare your organization for participation in the ACC3 European Union (EU) Security Validation.

Independent ACC3 Security Validation will be mandatory as of 1 July 2014, and this training will ensure that you are able to transport air cargo and mail into EU Member States, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland beyond July 2014. With the help of this workshop you will understand the applicable EU Regulations and checklist items, and how to use the IATA-developed, self-assessment tool kit.

What you will learn

Upon completing this course you will be able to:

  • Understand the EU regulations relating to ACC3
  • Understand the objectives and intent of the ACC3 EU Aviation Security checklist
  • Use IATA’s pre-assessment tool kit to identify your current issues and level of compliance, and to prepare for the validation
  • Evaluate lessons learned from trials conducted to date
  • Apply suggested best practices
  • Prioritize stations amongst your network that need to be independently validated
  • Understand what will be included in the validation report submitted to a Member State
  • Support an independent validator to facilitate the independent validation and the final report
  • Understand the support IATA will provide to its member airlines related to the database of accredited regulated agents and known consignors

  • Air carrier security program requirements
  • Recruitment and training of air carrier staff handling cargo
  • Database of regulated agents, known consignors and account consignors
  • Cargo acceptance procedures
  • Cargo screening requirements
  • High risk cargo or mail
  • Protection and security of air cargo
  • Documentation requirements of air cargo security
  • Compliance to air cargo security programs
  • Interpretation of ACC3 Aviation Security Audit checklist items
  • Participation of EU Aviation Security audits
  • ACC3 carrier roles and responsibilities
  • IATA developed, pre-assessment tool kit
