What you will learn

  • Understand the characteristics of the regulatory environment
  • Interpret and apply the relevant procedures and rules contained in the RAM and the applicable IATA resolutions
  • Identify the tools and techniques needed for effective revenue accounting processes in cargo
  • Recognize the factors most likely to trigger erroneous billings/evaluations during processing
  • Execute the correct billings and rejections for your airline

  • Importance of the Multilateral Interline Traffic Agreement (MITA), RAM, and prorate agreements and resolutions on interline settlement
  • Currency conversion procedures for interline billings and application of RAM Chapter A12
  • Billing rules as set out in RAM A5 and A6
  • United States government bills of lading
  • Interline service charges and sales agents commission
  • Rejections and correspondence
  • Application of time limits
  • Overview of the airmail settlement rules
