IATA Cargo Introductory Course for the Leadership & Management Training Program

Develop your cargo career by learning the fundamentals of cargo skills and procedures with IATA and Harvard ManageMentor leading to the Leadership & Management Diploma.

Available as: Distance Learning course and online HMM component
Duration: 160-200 hours for course plus 3.5 hours for exam
Recommended level: Entry-level and Professional

Upon enrolment, you will receive access to over 40 HMM modules, valid for 8 months. You may complete as many modules as you wish within the 8-month period. Each module is 2-4 hours in duration. 

  • HMM Validity Period and Module Duration Topics have been intuitively arranged for your benefit
    • Selection by category: Managing Yourself, Managing Others, Managing the Business
    • Selection by role: First-Time Manager, Mid-Level Manager, Senior Manager

Module Content

The content is divided into 44 modules (pdf), each covering an essential management topic. Topics are supported with video insights from leaders and experts, Harvard Business School case studies, Harvard Business Review articles, templates, discussion outlines and other resources to enhance the learning experience.

IATA Exam

The IATA exam is based only on the IATA course content. Examination procedures remain unchanged.

HMM modules are available in English (v11), Spanish and Mandarin (v10). A certificate of completion is awarded at the end of each HMM module to students who pass with 70% and have viewed 70% of the module content.  10 HMM modules of your choice are required to obtain a co-branded distance learning diploma.

 

Certificate awarded

An IATA Diploma is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 60% or higher on all exercises and exams. A special distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher.

  • Understand aircraft routings and industry manuals such as TACT and OAG World Airways Guides
