Course format

  • This classroom course provides 3 days (24 hours) of instruction delivered by an official IATA Instructor.
  • Student performance will be based on an examination


  • Participants must hold a DGR category 6 certificate valid for the duration of the course and have completed the Professional Skills for DGR Instructors course or equivalent DGR instructors course.
  • Please note that DGR Category 6 certificates are only valid for 2 years, and must cover the entire period of this session.
  • Minimum two years of experience teaching DGR courses is recommended.
  • Recommended level is Management and Professional
  • The recommended level of language proficiency is ICAO Operational Level 4 for courses in English or equivalent for other languages.

Certificate awarded

An IATA Certificate of Completion is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 80% or higher on all exercises and exams. A special distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher.
