Live Animals Regulations (LAR) for Acceptance Staff (Classroom, 1 day)

DescriptionPrices & Registration

About

As first in line to handle a live animal shipment, airline and handling agent acceptance personnel have the responsibility to ensure that all LAR requirements and government regulations have been met.

This condensed course will show you how to use the IATA LAR manual on the job to determine the proper documentation, handling and container specifications for thousands of species. You will also review your responsibilities under key national and international regulations to be sure you avoid unnecessary delays and costly surprises in the live animal transportation process.

The IATA LAR is the global standard for transporting animals by air in a safe, humane and cost-effective manner. This course meets the mandatory minimum training requirements set for airport acceptance staff as per the 2014 edition.

Course format: This course is available at IATA Training Centers and on demand for in-company training. This course provides 8 hours of instruction by an official IATA Instructor.
