Live Animals Regulations (LAR) for Acceptance Staff (Classroom, 1 day)

DescriptionPrices & Registration

As first in line to handle a live animal shipment, acceptance personnel have the responsibility to ensure that LAR requirements and government regulations are met.

This condensed course will show you how to quickly reference the IATA LAR manual to determine proper documentation, handling and container specifications for thousands of species. You will review your responsibilities under key national and international regulations to be sure you avoid unnecessary delays and costly surprises in the live animal transportation process.

The IATA LAR is the global standard for transporting animals by air in a safe, humane and cost-effective manner. This course meets the mandatory minimum training requirements set for airport acceptance staff as per the 2014 edition.

Course format: This course is available at IATA Training Centers and on demand for in-company training. This course provides 8 hours of instruction by an official IATA Instructor.
