What you will learn

Upon completing this course you will have the skills to:

  • Avoid debit memos or ticket rejections that can cut into your bottom line
  • Find solutions to problems related to pricing and re-pricing tickets
  • Validate correct system pricing based on approved fare construction methodologies

Course content

  • Additional rules on netting, voluntary exchanges and reissues
  • Future of status fares (ships crew, student, affinity and incentive fares, etc.)
  • Normal fare open jaw definition and additional mileage checks
  • Voluntary versus Involuntary Refund calculations
  • Baggage rule selection criteria versus US DoT exceptions

Certificate awarded

An IATA Certificate of Completion is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 70% or higher on all exercises and exams. A special distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher.
