Available as: Classroom & In-Company course
Duration: 5 days (40 hours)
Recommended level: Management
Prerequisites: Participant should hold a valid DGR certificate for category 6 at the time of registration and:

  • have at least 5 years working knowledge and experience in hazardous materials and safety operations or cargo operations
  • speak, write and understand English at a functional level 

What you will learn

Upon completing this course you will have the skills to:

  • Write training objectives and formulate test questions for a given target group
  • Design a lesson plan for a given training unit and perform a brief training on a familiar job related subject
  • Name and apply learning principles
  • Prepare visual aids required for the training unit
  • Refresh your knowledge of the IATA and ICAO Dangerous Goods Regulations
  • Share your experiences with other professionals in the field
  • Reference the discussion of practical issues you and your colleagues encounter in the workplace

Who should attend

This course is recommended for:

  • Dangerous Goods instructors for categories 1, 2, 3 and 6 (DGR Acceptance level)

Airlines training specialists and instructional designers for categories other than 1, 2, 3 and 6 might be interested in attending the Dangerous Goods Instructional Techniques.
