This course is oriented towards the responsibilities faced by Civil Aviation Authorities for planning, managing, coordinating and responding to emergencies, crises and natural disasters affecting civil aviation.
The course will examine the legal and contractual responsibilities faced by Civil Aviation Authorities today, given the continuing development of autonomous aviation services providers.
Organisationally and from an operational viewpoint, clear definitions of responsibilities, accountabilities and consequences resulting from an incident or accident of major proportion is a key factor in managing in a Civil Aviation Authority today.
This course will examine the necessary responses that a prudent Civil Aviation Authority will need to address to discharge in an accountable manner, its responsibilities for crisis planning and management of major or catastrophic events.
