Nanyang Business School (NBS) and IATA Training and Developing Institute (ITDI) have partnered to offer aviation professionals an executive MBA program that combines industry best business practices with a cutting-edge curriculum.
The program curriculum reflects the changing needs of the aviation industry and covers key areas including: Safety, Security, Regulation and Compliance, Operations and Infrastructure, and Organization and Human Performance.
The IATA-Nanyang Executive MBA program is a 14-month part-time modular program. Divided into five segments, each two weeks in length, our executive MBA is delivered at the IATA Training Center in Geneva and NBS in Singapore. Other locations are available for you to choose from.

This program is designed for aviation industry executives with at least five years of full-time managerial experience, though the average work experience of participants is 14 years.
Candidates applying for the program should have:
Undergraduate degree in any discipline
- Professional achievement and proven leadership
- English language proficiency
Two referee reports (download here) must be completed by a third party who can comment on your management potential, as well as your ability to successfully complete the EMBA Program.

Further academic opportunities
Participants completing the aviation-related segments are awarded the Advanced Management Program in Air Transport diploma. The program is comprised of two segments of two weeks each.The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore offers a tuition fee grant of up to 50% of the program's fee to Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident participants with at least five years of working experience.
Additionally, all current and previous students of the two programs can obtain the Aviation Management Professional Certification (AvMP) at no further cost.
Fees and funding options
For the 2013-2014 academic year, the EMBA Program tuition fee is SG$95,513 (inclusive of Singapore taxes). The fee covers tuition, most teaching materials and meals when classes are in session. All other expenses, including accommodation, travel and personal expenses are to be borne by the participant.
- NBS and IATA offer partial scholarships of up to SG$30,000 per candidate, awarded on a competitive basis, to students who have been accepted to the program. The Scholarship Committee will give priority to students who demonstrate a strong ability to contribute to the class and the program, and those with greater financial need. The scholarships are available to all students who have been offered a place in the Nanyang Business School’s Executive Masters of Business Administration 2013-14. More information.
- The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) offers a tuition fee grant of up to 50% of the program fee to Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident participants from qualifying companies with at least 30% aviation revenues. Candidates will be eligible for funding under CAAS's Aviation Leaders Development Program. More information.
