Candidates must complete four Required courses and one Elective course within two years. Required courses should be taken in the following order:

1. SMS Implementation Methodology
2. SMS Implementation Plan I
3. SMS Implementation Plan II
4. Developing an Effective Safety Culture

A passing mark of 70% or higher is required on all assignments and exams. A special distinction is awarded to candidates obtaining 90% or higher on all assignments and exams.
