Jaap de Lange
Safety - Instructional Techniques
Jaap has been an instructor in the aviation industry for more than 30 years. His subject areas include operational procedures, quality, human factors and instructor training.
Currently Jaap owns and manages his own aviation training company, IATP, and is co-owner and manager of Tradewind Training and Consultancy. He was a pilot for the Dutch Government Police Department and an Assistant Air Traffic Controller at LVNL (Luchtverkeersleiding Nederland). He was also a Quality, Safety and Security Manager for a Dutch airline.
Jaap graduated from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands with a degree in International Air and Space Law.

Luciano di Renzo
Emergency Planning - Security
Luciano was a Captain with Meridiana Fly, flying Airbus A-330 and A-320 aircraft before retiring in 2011. Since then he has been an IATA instructor in security, emergency planning, and flight operations management.
Luciano previously worked for the Italian Air Force Academy in Naples as an Officer and Pilot, and with the RAF in the UK as a Tornado Instructor and Flight Safety Inspector. He is also a certified Flying Instructor, Examiner and appointed Knight of the Italian Republic.
Luciano graduated from the University of Naples with a degree in Aeronautical Sciences.

Stefaan Ghijs
Airline Management
Stefaan is an airline management trainer for IATA and CAP Gemini, specializing in start-up business models, regulatory requirements and organizational structure.
An entrepreneur in the air taxi business since 2006, Stefaan is also a collaborator on a number of industry projects including the EU's “Small Air Transport (SAT) - Roadmap” project.
Stefaan holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Management and Operations from the Delft University of Technology. He is also affiliated with the university's chair, supervising research projects with KLM, Kenya Airways, Belle Air and more.

John Luthuli Mashava
Safety Management Systems - Audit
John is a ground safety specialist and auditor for Dzione, a consulting company of which he is both owner and director.
During the last ten years he has helped airlines in the Middle East and Africa to attain IOSA registration and implement Safety Management Systems. Chairman of the African Aviation Safety Council from 2004-2006, John continues to sit on a number of safety committees.
John holds a certificate in Airline Safety Management from the University of Southern California. A South Africa native, he is a key player in IATA safety training for the African region.

Malcolm Mackay
Aviation Security
Malcolm has more than 20 years of experience in senior security management and security training, accumulated in Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
A security consultant since 2005, he has spent the majority of his career managing security operations in the aviation sector for Swissport International Ltd. and Trans World Airlines Inc. (TWA).
Malcolm speaks five languages, including Cantonese and German. He holds a degree in English and post-graduate qualifications in commercial law and teaching.

Vesna Petrak
Quality - Audit
Vesna is an aviation quality and safety auditor with more than 150 completed IOSA audits for the ORG, CAB, GRH, CGO, and SEC scopes.
Currently the Director of Vesmar Qualitas d.o.o., she provides consultancy services for airlines implementing IOSA standards and for ground service providers implementing ISAGO standards. Vesna also worked for Croatia Airlines for more than 17 years.
Vesna graduated from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics and has been an IATA instructor since 2008.
