Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance

IATA considers design, certification and airworthiness issues and promotes optimal means of improving safety, reliability and productivity in aircraft engineering.  It establishes guidelines on engineering best practice and for standardising technology.

EMG assists and supports the Operations Committee (OPC) in all matters relating to optimising engineering and maintenance measures to improve safety, reliability and productivity.  It develops cost-effective policies, standards and recommendations on airworthiness and regulatory issues and cooperates with manufacturers to increase airframe and component reliability and reduce maintenance costs.

IATA EMG Information Exchange

IATA manages the EMG Information Exchange (EMG IE) which enables EMG members to quickly and confidentially exchange information on any matter with technical implications, from which lessons are learned or for which corrective measures are taken.

This exchange is widely recognised as one of the simplest, yet most effective ways of improving airline efficiency.

If you are interested in receiving further information please register by e-mail EMG Information Exchange (EMG IE).
