IATA's Fuel Services group represents and promotes the interests of members in all aspects of jet fuel management, with a focus on ensuring the reliable supply of quality jet fuel at airports worldwide at optimal price levels.
IATA is active in both the commercial and technical sectors of the jet fuel industry and works with all key stakeholders, including fuel suppliers, related service providers, aircraft manufacturers, engine manufacturers, airport authorities and governments. A number of services are available including training, consulting, publications, data services and financial services.
Commercial activities
Through the Commercial Fuel Group (CFG) IATA addresses areas of concern such as ensuring open and competitive markets, eliminating unnecessary duties, fees & taxes and fostering relationships with industry suppliers.
IATA also works to facilitate trade between airlines and interested counterparties by organising Aviation Fuel Forum meetings twice a year.

Technical Activities
Through the Technical Fuel Group (TFG) and the IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP) IATA works with industry suppliers and service providers to ensure a reliable supply of safe and quality jet fuel. From the refinery process through the delivery of fuel into-plane IATA establishes and publishes industry recognized standards & procedures.
