Cargo Standards

Through IATA Cargo, airlines aid the development of worldwide industry standards that ensure safe, quick and economic transportation of air cargo.

The  Cargo Services Conference (CSC) is responsible for developing and maintaining industry-wide standards for the various aspects of air cargo transportation such as Dangerous Goods, Live Animals, Perishables, Unit Load Devices (ULD), Cargo Facilitation, and Air Waybill (AWB) specifications.

Business Process & Standards

In order to remove the paper and use electronic messages it is necessary to have common and clear business process and standards, which are the foundations of e-freight as well as e-Freight Operational Procedures (e-FOP) that stakeholders can follow in an e-freight environment.
