Perishable Cargo… Looking after our health

Live Animals and Perishables Board (LAPB) members adopted new materials for inclusion into the 9th edition of the Perishable Cargo Regulations manual (PCR). Time and Temperature Task Force Work group leaders led the Task Force members, revising the existing materials in PCR chapter 17 applicable for the logistics of healthcare products.

Together with observers from the freight forwarding, warehousing, terminal handling, third party equipment providers and the health care industry, represented via input from and by pharmaceutical associations, a major revision to the chapter took place. The final result introduces some key new requirements towards time and temperature management of healthcare products.
