Scheduling Work Groups
SPWG
The Schedule Policy Working Group (SPWG) was established to address scheduling matters such as the development of amendments to the Worldwide Scheduling Guidelines and provide guidance on industry scheduling matters to the office of the IATA Director General. The Assistant Director Scheduling Services acts as the IATA Secretariat for the SPWG.
The IATA Director General appoints the working group from Member airline employees who have demonstrated the experience and skills necessary to represent the industry and make a contribution to the issues being addressed and who have indicated a desire to participate in such activities. More information about the SPWG including the Terms of Reference and the list of current 10 members can be found in Annex 2 of the WSG (pdf).

JSAG
The Joint Scheduling Advisory Group (JSAG) has been established as an IATA forum where Member airlines and airport coordinators can meet to discuss issues of common interest, work together to formulate industry guidelines related to airline scheduling, slot allocation and airport coordination worldwide, and to advise on principles for administering the IATA Schedules Conference.
The 14 JSAG members are composed from an equal number of airline representatives and airport coordinators, appointed for a two-year period.
- A subgroup of the SPWG members are appointed to JSAG by the IATA Director General
- Coordinator members of the JSAG are elected by the coordinator community from the Worldwide Airport Coordinators Group (WWACG) Core Group.

Scheduling Workgroups and Committees participation:
SISC
The Schedules Information Standards Committee (SISC) composed by schedules specialists from IATA airlines and industry experts from the IATA Strategic Partnership programme, maintains the Standard Schedules Information Manual (SSIM), a set of common standards for the exchange of schedule data, including industry standard code sets for a variety of schedule related data elements. SSIM includes standards and procedures for the exchange of schedule data between airlines and airport Coordinators.

ISC reports to the Passenger Services Conference (PSC) for final standards adoption.
SISC collaborates with the Passenger XML Working Group (XMLWG) to develop XML schemes for communication standards used in scheduling and slot matters.
Scheduling Services works closely with SISC on general terms. SISC meets twice yearly, prior to the Schedules Conference. SISC related documents are available to all SISC participants on SkedLink.
SISC ADFI Task Force
The SISC ADFI Task Force (ADFITF) composed of SISC members, reviews the SSIM Appendices related to Aircraft Types (A), Passenger terminal Indicators (D), Local Time Comparisons (F) and Region Codes (I). The ADFITF meets twice yearly, prior to the SISC meetings.
Scheduling Services is responsible for maintaining Appendix F on Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) and Daylight Saving Time (DST), and releasing the appropriate Appendix F industry notification between publications of the SSIM.

IAC
The Industry Affairs Committee (IAC) advises the Board of Governors, the Director General and other relevant IATA bodies on the regulatory aspects of commercial / industry affairs and aero-political matters affecting international passenger air transport.
Scheduling services updates the IAC on technical issues about schedules and slot matters.
PSC
The Passenger Services Conference (PSC) agrees on standards and procedures for passenger and baggage handling, passenger reservations and passenger ticketing matters, among others.
Scheduling Services is responsible for coordinating, on behalf of the PSC, the establishment of or modifications to Minimum Connecting Time (MCT) issues.
