Welcome to the February issue of the Flight Bag, the first issue of 2009!

The airline industry continues to face many difficult challenges. The latest IATA  traffic press release reveals a plummet in cargo traffic of 22.6% in December. This paints a gloomy picture of what we are currently facing, as well as what lays ahead.

IATA is focusing on the current crisis situation and finding ways to cut costs and save money. IATA also continues to focus on strategic issues and initiatives that can be implemented in the short-term.
