IATA’s Safety strategy is based on its Six-point Safety Programme, developed in close collaboration with IATA’s member airlines and Strategic Partners.
This programme is an integrated approach, which deals with all areas that affect operational safety, such as flight and cabin operations, ground handling, air traffic management and cargo handling.
The corner stone of our approach to enhancing aviation safety is the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), which continued its growth as a global programme, and is internationally recognized and implemented consistently throughout the industry.
Through its well-established Six-point Safety Programme, widely implemented IOSA Programme and the Integrated Airline Management System, IATA pursues its mission to promote safe, secure, efficient and economical air transport in the years to come.
