Flight Operations Group (FOG)

The Flight Operations Group (FOG) is responsible for developing policies, standards and recommendations on all aspects of safe and efficient flight operations for consideration by the IATA Operations Committee (OPC).

Composition and Frequency of Meetings

The FOG is open to IATA member airlines only, with a maximum of 15 participants and 9 observers. Participants meet twice a year.

Performance Input Data

The Airport and Obstacle Database (AODB) site includes airport and runway obstacle data and facilitates the flight operations information exchange between airlines to improve operational efficiency and safety. It is a continuously expanding library.

FOG Information Exchange (FOG IE)

FOG IE enables FOG members to quickly and confidentially exchange information on lessons learned and corrective measures taken for particular situations. It is a very effective way of improving airline efficiency.
