IATA Environment Managing Systems (IEMS) Operations and Infrastructure

The IATA Fuel Efficiency Campaign was introduced in 2004, and was originally initiated to improve routes and to develop best practices for airlines.  The campaign elements have been extended to:

OPERATIONS

  • Efficiency Improvements for Take off and approach procedures
  • Best practices approved by Original Equipment Manufacturers
  • Flight Planning tool upgrades recommendations to airlines *
  • Enhancements in Aircraft Configuration Upgrades *
  • Efficiency improvements in Ground Operations *
  • Efficiency Improvements in Fleet Renewal *
    ATM Efficiency Studies

INFRASTRUCTURE

  • Routes/ATM/Infrastructure Improvements
  • Air Traffic Management Improvements¬†
  • Regulatory Framework

The above listed initiatives are handled as part of the Fuel Action Campaign.
