Airside Safety Group (ASG)
The ASG reports to the
IATA Ground Handling Council (IGHC) and is a multidisciplinary working group consisting of airlines, ground handling companies and airports. This group focuses on Airside Safety Management and the continuous revision of safety management systems, it includes human factors research as integral part of its work program with the objective to improve airside safety performance.
The working group meets twice per year to develop guidelines for airside activities as published in the
IATA Airport Handling Manual (AHM). ASG is attended by airline specialists, ground handling companies, airports and the Special Category - Registered Supplier members of
IATA's Strategic Partnerships.
