IATA Multilateral Interline Traffic Agreements (MITA)
About MITA
MITA is an agreement whereby passengers and cargo use a standard traffic document (i.e. passenger ticket or air waybill) to travel on various modes of transport involved in a routing in order to reach a final destination.
One Multilateral Agreement concluded with another airline through IATA results in joining a partnership of the growing network of over 350 participating worldwide domestic and international airlines.
MITA Membership
Participation in MITA is open to all IATA and non-IATA member airlines holding valid IATA assigned airline codes (airline designator, airline accounting and/or prefix code) and operating international and/or domestic scheduled air services.
Inter-modal transport carriers may also participate in MITA.
Non-IATA members wishing to participate in the IATA Clearing House must be a party to MITA.
For information and full application details regarding MITA participation and joining procedures, contact MITA.
