Passenger XML Working Group (XMLWG)

The Passenger XML Work Group was established by the IATA Passenger Services Conference with the following Terms of Reference:

  • To identify and develop business requirements for airline internet data interchange applications based on current airline practices and procedures;
  • To develop airline internet data interchange message specifications to meet the defined business requirements;
  • To develop implementation guidelines for the airline internet message specifications;
  • To propose/submit additions, changes and deletions to the IATA airline internet data dictionary;
  • To liaise - where appropriate - within IATA and with other internet data standards development organisations;
  • To submit the data interchange standards to ECDG for endorsement;
  • To submit the data interchange standards to PADIS Board for endorsement;
  • To provide work plans and status/progress reports to PADIS Board.
