The Ticketing Committee held jointly with the ATA develops and maintains standards and procedures related to interline ticket forms. The Committee is responsible for the development of standards for manual and automated tickets and for publishing these standards as Resolutions and Recommended Practices. Airline membership consists of experts responsible for the development of ticket forms and ticketing procedures. Most of the Committee's activity now focuses on standards for 100 percent electronic ticketing and is developing new standards for Electronic Miscellaneous Documents. Supplying Mandatory Ticket and Other Important Notices - Revised June 2007
It is mandatory that customers are provided with ticket notices which may or may not be present as part of the ticket set. IATA has developed a template on A4 size piece of paper of generic ticket notices in English which conform to the requirements of Resolution 724 Passenger Ticket - Notices and Conditions of Contract together with all other mandatory ticket notices and some additional information.It conforms to all the requirements of the resolutions including font size and style. Effective 1 June 2008 only electronic tickets will be issued in BSPs. Don't wait, its almost too late to meet the deadline. You must start your electronic ticketing implementaton project NOW. All the major ticketing system providers exist to provide the technology required to implement ET and Interline ET.
