Ramp Services and Equipment Group

The RAMPSG reports to the IATA Ground Handling Council (IGHC). The Group's mandate is to review and develop functional specifications and standards, safe operating procedures and training related to Ground Support Equipment. RAMPSG also shares information and provides recommendations on future developments and new Ground Support Equipment products and services. RAMPSG meets twice a year usually in February and September. The Group provides recommendations in the form of industry standards for publication in the IATA Airport Handling Manual. RAMPSG is attended by airline specialists, ground handling companies, airports and the Special Category - Registered Supplier members of the Strategic Partnerships.
