IATA's activities related to safety, security, operations, air traffic management and airport development in Europe focus on responding to the needs of its member airlines and industry partners.

Working relationships are maintained with governments and the institutions of the European Union and other organisations in Europe (see European Organisations on the right).

IATA contributes to SESAR Joint Undertaking research and development projects and reflects member airline views as defined by the IATA European Regional Coordination Group (RCG) and Joint User Requirements Group (JURG).
