Highlights:
- 165 airlines and 3,500 agents in 330 locations are part of the BSP France. On CASS side, there are 85 airlines and 320 agents for 787 locations.
In 2006 Travel Agents reported over 7.5 billion Euros (+1% from 2005).
- IATA France is actively supporting the Simplifying The Business initiative to reduce costs in a number of areas. Current achievements:
- Targeting 100% e-ticketing (ET) by May 2008, already 75.4% of all tickets issued in France are electronic with some 75 airlines ET capable.
- Common Use Self Service (CUSS): 6 CUSS have been implemented in France (CDG and ORY)
- Bar-Coded Boarding Passes (BCBP): some 60% of facilities are equipped at CDG and ORY.
- IATA France has also developed sound planning and development consulting services to help airlines, cargo operators, airports, ANS providers, manufacturers and civil aviation authorities achieve high performance standards.
