IATA United Kingdom
The IATA United Kingdom site will keep you posted on all the latest news on our Billing & Settlement Plan (BSP) and Cargo Accounts Settlement Systems (CASS) activities. Its objective is to assist you in your BSP and CASS reporting, provide useful information on products and services, and help you contact IATA's Customer Services.
The UK is arguably the most important air transport hub in Europe if not the world. We have over 160 participating airlines flying into and out of our airports, including the world's busiest international airport Heathrow. The agency network comprises some 3,000 accredited locations.
So we are big business. Our team is here to help and support you in this gigantic enterprise which is essentially a partnership between airlines and agents. It is a partnership that has stood the test of time and has a great future.
What we do
- BSP - Billing and Settlement Plan
This is the 'nuts and bolts' of system for payments from agents to airlines. The annual turnover is in excess of £9 billion.
- Travel Agent ID card
Our office acts as co-ordinator for the IATA/UFTAA Travel Agent ID Card. An application form may be downloaded from this site.
- IATA's Traing and Development Institute
You can study our courses at home, qualify for accreditation and equip yourself with the specialist knowledge you need in a travel agency selling air transport.
- Our Travel & Tourism programme has four levels, from Foundation to Senior Management. Successful students are awarded certificates and diplomas that entitle the holders to put letters after their names!
