We continue to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation carefully and regularly. Our number one priority is always the health of our speakers, delegates and staff.

We are following the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO)—the global authority on public health issues—and the local Public Health Ministry. Currently we are going ahead with the event as planned. If the situation changes, we will announce this on our website and inform all registered participants.

In the interim, please refer to the IATA Travel Center, for daily updates on travel restrictions.

Together, Let's Build Airline Retailing

The fifth edition of the IATA Business Travel Summit, scheduled to take place on June 17-18, 2020, is a unique opportunity to get the latest insights from the air travel industry value chain – airlines, IT providers, TMCs, SBTs and Corporates – while they articulate their NDC roadmaps to adoption.

The aim of this event is to have an annual status check of NDC adoption worldwide. While implementation is growing fast, it is important to reflect on the paths taken by the industry, the value and benefits that NDC creates, and the remaining challenging points that need to be addressed. The summit will also showcase innovation, particularly from start-ups.

Target Audience

This event is designed for corporate buyers. The goal is to ensure they play a key role in influencing the NDC journey and to help them get what they need to start their own NDC journey with their partners.

This event is by invitation only.

About NDC

NDC (New Distribution Capability) will enable the travel industry to transform the way air products are retailed to corporations, leisure and business travelers, by addressing the industry's current distribution limitations:

  • Product differentiation and time-to-market
  • Access to full and rich air content
  • Transparent shopping experience

The airline indirect value chain is actively looking at opportunities in the areas of personalization, policy compliance, control and reporting. Industry cooperation across the business travel value chain is essential and more discussions on NDC are expected.

The IATA Business Travel Summit is a unique & exclusive event to:

  • Get the entire air travel value chain together
  • Share best practices
  • Discuss future trends in the area of distribution and payment
  • Network with the key players

IBTS 2020 agenda will address key topics including:

  • Updates from NDC Leaderboard airlines on their journey to their 2020 target
  • Leader insights from the IATA value chain groups - Travel Manager Advisory Group (TMAG) and Global Travel Management Executive Council (GTEC)
  • Strategies to speed up NDC adoption
  • Key perspectives from IATA - including ONE Order, Dynamic offers, Sustainability, etc.
  • Perspective on travel management program changes in a new distribution landscape
  • Showcase of live Travel Management Companies (TMCs) and on-line booking tools (OBTs)
