This year, the Airline Industry Retailing Symposium (AIRS) and the Aviation Data Symposium (ADS) will be held at the same time and place under a brand-new name: Digital, Data and Retailing Symposium (DDR). The focus will be on the industry restart plan and how Airlines can further reduce costs and plan for new revenue generation using the power of Data and Retailing.

An Inclusive Hybrid Format
The symposium will be in a hybrid format allowing our delegation to either attend physically - in person or virtually - online participation.
In this current environment of uncertainty, the outlook looks bleak. The data suggests however, that there is a lot of pent-up demand for international travel and as soon as vaccines are rolled out and borders reopen, the restart will be quick. How can we prepare for this rebound from a data, digital and retailing perspective?
To provide flexibility, the 2021 DDR Symposium will be a hybrid edition. For those who can travel, we will be delighted to welcome them in Madrid, Spain. For those who cannot join us in-person, we will offer an online option, including streaming of the key sessions, a virtual exhibition hall and a state-of-the-art virtual appointment tool to facilitate networking. In-person and remote attendees will have many opportunities to connect and share during the event.

The AI Lab attracted over 120 delegates.
The lab showcased how AI can transform the air transport industry as a new and pertinent tool for doing business. Participants left the lab with an understanding of artificial intelligence and knowing where and how to start AI developments within their companies.
