IATA works with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) made up of 191 Member States. ICAO's key role is to establish standards, recommended practices and guidance materials to ensure aviation safety, security, efficiency and regularity, their joint efforts produced global standards and recommended practices in many areas of including safety, security and unruly passengers.
Governments and industry must continue to work together to replace inflexible security measures with harmonized and responsive security systems based on data, risk management, and efficient technology.
