How it works

The Simplified Interline Settlement (SIS) project workgroups are guided by a Steering Group, which is responsible for setting the overall direction and scope of the project and alignment with business goals.

Specific areas of work

The SIS project has broken interline settlement into five distinct areas and assigned a workgroup (WG) to define specific requirements:

  • Passenger Billing WG
  • E-Cargo WG
  • IDEC WG
  • E-Invoicing WG
  • Paperless Support WG

The workgroups identified the need for two ad-hoc groups to make recommendations on specialized aspects of SIS.

  • Integrated Settlement - Validation
  • Sampling

Membership

Membership to these groups is by invitation only. The Steering Group that guides this project is composed of representatives from Air France, Air New Zealand, American Airlines, British Airways, Emirates, Iberia, Lufthansa, SWISS, United Airlines, IATA, and the Airline Clearing House (ACH).
