In recent years, China has offered vast potential to businesses that knew how to take advantage of it. It is not assured that such extreme potential will exist in the coming years, but China will continue to be a market in which fortunes could be made, by those who know what they are doing, and lost, by those who don’t.

Kristie Lu Stout is an award-winning correspondent for CNN International and host of News Stream of CNN's Asia-Pacific. She has reported on the world's major news stories for over a decade: the death of Kim Jong Il, the dynamic political landscape in China, as well as the Arab Spring and protest movements around the world. She has interviewed figures such as Myanmar pro-democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi, dissident artist Ai Weiwei, and pop superstar Lady Gaga. Stout is American of Chinese and European descent. She holds bachelor and master degrees from Stanford University, and studied advanced Mandarin at Beijing's Tsinghua University.
Tim Clissold, CEO, Peony Capital
Tim Clissold has lived and worked in China for more than twenty years and travelled to most parts of the country. After graduating in Physics from Cambridge University, he moved to Hong Kong and then spent two years studying Mandarin in Beijing. He then joined a private equity group which invested four hundred million dollars in China in the early 90’s. Later, he was at Goldman Sachs recovering distressed assets and recently started a business that invests in GHG emission reduction projects in China. In 2004, he published Mr China, which has been translated into fourteen languages.

Mr. Liu, a commanding pilot, graduated from China Civil Aviation Flight College and obtained an EMBA degree from Tsinghua University. Previously, he worked as Deputy Director General of CAAC Shanxi Bureau, President of MU Shanxi Branch, Director General of CAAC Flight Standard Department and President of CEA. In 2002, he was promoted to Vice-Minister of CAAC. In 2004, he was assigned as President of China Southern Air Holding Company and Chairman of China Southern Airlines Co. Ltd. He has taken his current positions since the end of 2008. Mr. Liu Shaoyong is Chairman of China Air Transport Association and a member of IATA Board of Governors.
Christian Murck President American Chamber of Commerce PRC
Christian Murck joined AmCham-China in 2010 as President. He is also the independent director of J.P. Morgan Chase (China) Ltd. He was elected Chairman of the Board of Governors of AmCham-China in 2002 and 2003. From 2001 to 2010, Chris was with APCO Worldwide, first as Managing Director, China, and then as CEO, Asia. Before joining APCO, he was the Managing Director and Senior Country Officer of The Chase Manhattan Bank in Beijing. From 1991 to 1996, he managed the Chase branch in Chinese Taipei and served as Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce. Chris graduated from Yale and taught at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has a doctorate in East Asian Studies from Princeton University.
Helen Wong is Group General Manager, President , CEO of HSBC Bank (China) Company Limited.
Ms Wong has over 25 years of extensive commercial and investment banking experience in the Asia-Pacific region. In her current role, she oversees the implementation of HSBC Group strategy and the Bank's development in mainland China. Ms Wong is a Supervisor of the HSBC Jintrust Fund Management Company Limited. She also serves on the Board of the Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. as an Independent Director.
