2019 Cargo Innovation Awards

This industry is no different from the others: it needs to reinvent itself, adapt to customer expectations, embrace new technologies, and challenge the status-quo to be more efficient and attractive. Innovation holds the key for air cargo development, suitability and success.

The third edition of the IATA Cargo Innovation Awards aims at encouraging new ideas to enrich customer experience and to improve the competitiveness of air logistics.

Participants may win a chance to present their idea to the 2019 World Cargo Symposium (WCS) audience in Singapore and win up to 20,000 USD.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for more details on eligibility criteria.

What information should I include in my submission?

Check the Submission Checklist (pdf) and the Judging Criteria (pdf) to know more about the information you should include in your idea submission.

It is strongly recommended to include in your application a short video (1-2 minutes) pitching your business idea.

Is there a cost associated with participation to this contest?

No, participation is free of charge.

Can I submit more than one business idea?

Yes, an entrant can submit more than one idea as part of a single submission, but only one submission per entrant is allowed.

If my idea is a product already on the market, can I still submit it?

The competition is about new ideas, so ideally, the idea should not be a product or service that is already in the market. If it is in the market, it would have to be at the very early stages.

How can I increase my chances of getting to the final round?

Ideas that are aligned with one of the competition topics have the highest chance of getting through to the final round of this competition. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for more detail. We encourage participants to include a short video (max. 2 min) pitching their idea to complement their submission
