IATA-WCO collaborate to improve air cargo efficiency and security

IATA C-XML standards have been endorsed by the highest international authority in the field of customs security: the World Customs Organisation Cargo Targeting System, a risk assessment tool developed by the WCO, is now fully integrating the IATA Cargo-XML standard messages. This will allow interested WCO member countries, in particular, least developed and developing countries which do not have the ability to develop their own risk assessment tools, to use this WCO solution while airlines will not have to tweak their business messages (manifests and AWB) to comply with the security rules.

eAWB360 update:

eAWB360 is an industry initiative aimed at encouraging airlines, freight forwarders, and ground handlers to adopt e-AWB as well as building stakeholder readiness at selected airports.

In November the following airports will be live: 

  • Narita -  NRT (1 November 2017)
