IATA Safety Management System (SMS) for Ground Operations aviation training course

Learn how to manage risks in ground operations through proactive risk assessment, mapping and mitigation actions and how to evaluate their effectivity through safety performance monitoring. The successful implementation of a Safety Management System (SMS) reduces the rate and consequential cost of accidents and incidents, improves your balance sheet and helps your organization to meet its legal responsibility and customer expectations. Ground Service Providers (GSPs) are mandated to establish provisions for safe ground operations. All the companies involved in ground handling must strengthen traditional risk control practices and ensure safety risks are managed in a systematic way. Following this course, GSP managers will acquire all necessary knowledge, in line with the SMS training requirements of ISAGO and the competency expectations for specific functions within the SMS as per ICAO Annex 19 and ICAO Doc 10121. The training exceeds the requirements of AHM 1110.
