Course Prices

Does the course price include travel, accommodation or meals?

Course prices do not cover travel, accommodation or meals.  You are responsible for making your transportation and hotel arrangements.
IATA offers participants discounted rates for hotels near its Training Centers. The training team will provide you with further information once you are successfully registered for a course.

Does the course price include IATA publications?

IATA Publications are only provided when they are used as training materials. 

How can I determine which course price I should pay?

Does IATA offer scholarships?

Yes, scholarships are generally awarded to airlines in Developing Nations. Contact the International Airline Training Fund (IATF) for more information.

Additionally, you may be eligible for the Early Bird discount if you register at least more than three (3) weeks before the first day of a session. Details

Which payment methods are accepted?

IATA accepts payment via Credit Card, Bank Transfer and IATA Clearing House

How do I pay by credit card?

You may choose to pay by credit card at any time after your registration. Full details and payment form

How do I pay by bank transfer?

Select bank transfer as your payment method at the time of registration.

Start the bank transfer once you have confirmation of your registration or at least 3 weeks prior to the first day of the course.

How do I pay by IATA Clearing House?

Where do I send payment for a course held at a Regional Training Partner (RTP) location?

Payment for courses held at a Regional Training Partner (RTP) locations must be made directly to the partner. You can find RTP contact information on our website or in the Prices & Registration information located on course pages.

How do I register using an Enrolment Key?

An Enrolment Key is a credit toward a course or exam registration. In order to use it, log into your user account or create a new account if you do not have one. Enter the Enrolment Key when prompted and your registration will be completed automatically.

Can I register several people for a course and still receive one invoice?

Multiple registration, or bulk purchases, must be made using a pre-paid Enrolment Key. Please contact us for further details. 

How do I register an employee on his/her behalf?

We recommend that each registration be made individually, by the person attending the course or exam. However, you can register an employee on his/her behalf using an Enrolment Key. Please contact us if you would like to request an Enrolment Key.

How do I register my company as being tax exempt?

Please send us proof of tax exemption before booking any courses or exams online. Your documents will be reviewed within two business days, at which point you will receive a confirmation email from IATA with details to complete your purchases.

My company is an IATA Member or headquartered in a developing nation, yet I am being charged the Non-Member price. How do I correct this?

If you believe the price attributed to your purchase is not correct, please make sure you have validated your company email address and contact information in your user profile.  If your company details have already been validated in the system and the problem persists, please contact us and provide your company’s details.

When will I be invoiced?

You are invoiced the day following your registration. For example if you register on 3 December 2019 for a course 25-29 January 2020, the invoice date will be 4 December 2019. The invoice will mention the course dates as 25-29 January 2020

Cancellation and Changes

How do I make a change to a booking?

It is not possible to make changes to a booking without cancelling it first. If you would like to register for a different course or session, withdraw from the booking you wish to change and register again. Please note that prices may vary between sessions and locations due to the tax laws in the country of purchase.

As per our Cancellation Policy, a booking can be cancelled up to 21 days before the course start date with a full refund. If you would like to make a change to your booking less than 21 days prior to the course start date, please contact us.

How do I cancel a booking?

You can cancel a booking directly from your user account provided that the cancellation is made more than 21 days before the course start date.

Once logged into your account, go to the "My Bookings” tab and select the course or exam you wish to cancel. Then, click on “Withdraw from this booking". A confirmation of your cancellation will be sent to you by email with further details. 

How do I make changes to a registration made prior to creating my user account?

To change or cancel a registration made without your user account, please contact us.

Can I transfer my registration to a colleague should I have to cancel?

You may transfer your registration to a colleague at no additional cost provided that your colleague attends the same class.  You can request the transfer in writing any time before the course start date.

Can a course be cancelled by IATA?

In the event of insufficient enrolment, IATA reserves the right to cancel any course three (3) weeks prior to course commencement, in which case your course fee is fully refundable. If the class has been postponed, you may choose to transfer your payment to the new dates.

IATA will not be liable for any expenses incurred by course participants, e.g. airfare or hotel charges. For this reason we recommend that you make changeable/refundable travel and accommodation reservations.

If it is too late to be refunded for a course, can I apply my payment to another session?

Your payment cannot be transferred in full to a future session if you cancel your order less than 21 days before the course start date. However, you can elect a colleague to attend the same session in your place at no additional charge.

Will I be refunded for a course I cannot attend in the case of an emergency or a visa problem?

You will not be fully refunded for a cancellation made later than three (3) weeks prior to course commencement.

Always notify the Training Center of a cancellation as soon as you face an emergency situation or visa problem.

In case of proof of visa denial after a timely visa request was made, the participant may be refunded in full.

Course Procedures

Will I receive any materials prior to the course?

No. IATA provides all course materials upon arrival on the first day of a course. You will be notified by email should you need to complete work before the course.

Do IATA courses have pre-requisites? How will I know if I am prepared to register?

All IATA courses require participants to read, write and communicate in the language of instruction. The recommended level of language proficiency is ICAO Operational Level 4 for courses in English or equivalent for other languages. Additional pre-requisites are listed within individual course descriptions on our website.

How will my grade be calculated?

​IATA has a Grading Policy that describes the grading elements, grading scales, attendance, participation and grading criteria for student work.

Do I need a visa to study at an IATA Training Center?

Visa requirements are determined by your country of origin and regulations in the country you plan to visit.  Contact the local Embassy or Consulate for the country you wish to visit for full details.

NOTE: You are responsible for completing your visa application and obtaining your visa.  Please keep in mind that the application process generally takes 2 or more weeks.

Where can I get more information on IATA Training Centers?

We have  IATA Training Centers and Regional Training Partners located throughout the world.

Does IATA have a moral code or ethical policy?

​Yes, the IATA Academic Integrity policy defines the principles of academic integrity, the behaviors that are contrary to these principles and the procedures for dealing with violations.

I am required to obtain a visa to attend a course. Do I need to request documents from the training team for my application?

The training team can provide you with a Visa Invitation Letter to help expedite your visa application. To request this letter, simply answer “yes” in this section of the registration form: “Do you need a visa invitation?”

Copies of the Visa Invitation Letter will be sent to you and the appropriate Consulate or Embassy once you are successfully registered for a course. Apply for your visa as soon as you receive the letter.

NOTE: We strongly recommend you keep all documents related to your visa for future reference.

Is there a dress code to attend the training?

Course Certificates

Do any IATA courses provide accreditation?

IATA courses do not lead to accreditation, but do provide a Certificate of Completion recognized throughout the industry. 

I have lost my Certificate or Diploma. Can I request a duplicate?

Yes, you can request a duplicate of your certificate or diploma, provided that you make the request within five (5) years of completing the course or diploma in question. Request online

How can I check if my Certificate is genuine?

Will I have to repeat a course I failed to receive an IATA Certificate?

Yes. You must attend and successfully complete another session to receive a certificate. There is no discount on the price if you repeat a course.

When will I receive my Certificate?

You will receive your Certificate or Letter of Attendance after the course grading procedures have been completed and course fees have been paid in full.

Please contact us if you have not received your Certificate or Letter of Attendance within one month of the course completion.

Do any courses lead to an ID card?

There are currently no IATA courses that lead to an ID card.  You can apply for an ID card online.

How can I become an IATA instructor?

Please send us your application file if you would like to become an IATA Training Instructor.
